(KJV) Psalm 106¹

⥃Give Thanks to the LORD, for He Is Good ²

[1] Praise ye the Lord³. O give⁴ thanks unto the Lord; for [he⁵ is] good: for his mercy [endureth] for ever. [2] Who can utter⁶ the mighty acts of the Lord? [who] can shew forth all his praise⁷? [3] Blessed⁸ [are] they that keep⁹ judgment, [and] he that doeth¹⁰ righteousness at all times¹¹. [4] Remember¹² me, O Lord, with the favour [that thou bearest unto] thy people: O visit¹³ me with thy salvation; [5] That I may see¹⁴ the good of thy chosen, that I may rejoice¹⁵ in the gladness of thy nation, that I may glory¹⁶ with thine inheritance. [6] We have sinned with our fathers, we have committed iniquity, we have done wickedly.¹⁷ [7] Our¹⁸ fathers understood not thy wonders in Egypt; they¹⁹ remembered not the multitude²⁰ of thy mercies; but²¹ provoked [him] at the sea, [even] at the Red sea. [8] Nevertheless he saved²² them for his name’s sake, that he²³ might make his mighty power to be known. [9] He rebuked²⁴ the Red sea also, and it was dried up: so he²⁵ led them through the depths, as through the wilderness. [10] And he²⁶ saved them from the hand of him that hated [them], and redeemed²⁷ them from the hand of the enemy. [11] And the waters covered their enemies: there was not one of them left.²⁸ [12] Then believed they his words; they sang his praise.²⁹ [13] They soon forgat³⁰ his works; they waited³¹ not for his counsel: [14] But³² lusted exceedingly³³ in the wilderness, and tempted³⁴ God in the desert. [15] And he gave³⁵ them their request; but sent³⁶ leanness into their soul. [16] They envied³⁷ Moses also in the camp, [and] Aaron the saint³⁸ of the Lord. [17] The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and covered the company of Abiram.³⁹ [18] And a fire was kindled in their company; the flame burned up the wicked.⁴⁰ [19] They made a calf in Horeb, and worshipped the molten image.⁴¹ [20] Thus⁴² they changed their glory⁴³ into⁴⁴ the similitude of an ox that eateth grass. [21] They forgat⁴⁵ God⁴⁶ their saviour, which⁴⁷ had done great things in Egypt; [22] Wondrous⁴⁸ works in the land of Ham, [and] terrible⁴⁹ things by the Red sea. [23] Therefore he said⁵⁰ that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen⁵¹ stood⁵² before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy [them]. [24] Yea, they despised⁵³ the pleasant land⁵⁴, they believed⁵⁵ not his word: [25] But murmured⁵⁶ in their tents, [and] hearkened⁵⁷ not unto the voice of the Lord. [26] Therefore⁵⁸ he lifted⁵⁹ up his hand against them, to overthrow them in the wilderness: [27] To overthrow⁶⁰ their seed also among the nations, and to scatter⁶¹ them in the lands. [28] They joined⁶² themselves also unto Baal–peor, and ate the sacrifices of the dead⁶³. [29] Thus they provoked [him] to anger with their⁶⁴ inventions: and the plague⁶⁵ brake in upon them. [30] Then stood up Phinehas, and executed judgment: and [so] the plague was stayed.⁶⁶ [31] And that was counted unto him for righteousness unto all generations for evermore.⁶⁷ [32] They angered⁶⁸ [him] also at the waters of strife, so that⁶⁹ it went ill with Moses for their sakes: [33] Because⁷⁰ they provoked his spirit, so that he spake⁷¹ unadvisedly with his lips. [34] They did not⁷² destroy the nations, concerning⁷³ whom the Lord commanded them: [35] But⁷⁴ were mingled among the heathen, and learned⁷⁵ their works. [36] And⁷⁶ they served their idols: which⁷⁷ were a snare unto them. [37] Yea, they sacrificed⁷⁸ their sons and their daughters unto devils⁷⁹, [38] And shed⁸⁰ innocent blood, [even] the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land⁸¹ was polluted with blood. [39] Thus were they defiled⁸² with their own works, and went⁸³ a whoring with their own⁸⁴ inventions. [40] Therefore was the wrath⁸⁵ of the Lord kindled against his people, insomuch⁸⁶ that he abhorred his own⁸⁷ inheritance. [41] And he gave⁸⁸ them into the hand of the heathen; and they⁸⁹ that hated them ruled over them. [42] Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were brought into subjection under their hand. [43] Many⁹⁰ times did he deliver them; but they provoked [him] with their⁹¹ counsel, and were brought low⁹² for their iniquity. [44] Nevertheless he regarded their affliction, when he heard their cry:⁹³ [45] And he⁹⁴ remembered for them his covenant, and repented⁹⁵ according to the⁹⁶ multitude of his mercies. [46] He made them also to be pitied of all those that carried them captives.⁹⁷ [47] Save us⁹⁸, O Lord our God, and gather⁹⁹ us from among the heathen, to give¹⁰⁰ thanks unto thy holy name, [and] to triumph in thy praise. [48] Blessed¹⁰¹ [be] the Lord God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye the Lord¹⁰².
