⥃Heirs of Grace

[1] Put² them in mind to be subject³ to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready⁴ to every good work, [2] To speak⁵ evil of no⁶ man, to be no brawlers, [but] gentle⁷, shewing all meekness unto all men⁸. [3] For we⁹ ourselves also were sometimes foolish¹⁰, disobedient¹¹, deceived¹², serving¹³ divers lusts and pleasures, living¹⁴ in malice and envy, hateful¹⁵, [and] hating one another. [4] But after that the kindness¹⁶ and love¹⁷ of God¹⁸ our Saviour toward man appeared¹⁹, [5] Not by works²⁰ of righteousness which we have done, but according²¹ to his mercy he saved us, by the washing²² of regeneration, and renewing²³ of the Holy Ghost; [6] Which he shed²⁴ on us abundantly²⁵ through²⁶ Jesus Christ our Saviour; [7] That being²⁷ justified by his grace, we should be made²⁸ heirs according to the hope²⁹ of eternal life. [8] [This is] a faithful³⁰ saying, and these things I will that thou³¹ affirm constantly, that they which³² have be³³lieved in God might be careful to maintain good³⁴ works. These things are good and profitable unto men.

⥃Avoid Divisions ^{[ Romans 16:17–20 ]}

[9] But avoid³⁵ foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable³⁶ and vain. [10] A man that is an heretic³⁷k after³⁸ the first and second admonition reject³⁹; [11] Knowing that he that is such is subverted⁴⁰, and sinneth, being⁴¹ condemned of himself.

⥃Final Remarks and Greetings

[12] When I shall send Artemas unto thee, or Tychicus⁴², be⁴³ diligent to come unto me to Nicopolis: for⁴⁴ I have determined there to winter. [13] Bring Zenas the lawyer⁴⁵ and Apollos⁴⁶ on⁴⁷ their journey diligently, that nothing be wanting unto them. [14] And let ours also learn⁴⁸ to maintain good works⁴⁹ for necessary uses, that⁵⁰ they be not unfruitful. [15] All that are with me⁵¹ salute thee. Greet⁵² them that love⁵³ us in the faith. Grace⁵⁴ [be] with you all. Amen.
