⥃Heirs of Grace
[1] Put2 them in mind to be subject3 to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready4 to every good work, [2] To speak5 evil of no6 man, to be no brawlers, [but] gentle7, shewing all meekness unto all men8. [3] For we9 ourselves also were sometimes foolish10, disobedient11, deceived12, serving13 divers lusts and pleasures, living14 in malice and envy, hateful15, [and] hating one another. [4] But after that the kindness16 and love17 of God18 our Saviour toward man appeared19, [5] Not by works20 of righteousness which we have done, but according21 to his mercy he saved us, by the washing22 of regeneration, and renewing23 of the Holy Ghost; [6] Which he shed24 on us abundantly25 through26 Jesus Christ our Saviour; [7] That being27 justified by his grace, we should be made28 heirs according to the hope29 of eternal life. [8] [This is] a faithful30 saying, and these things I will that thou31 affirm constantly, that they which32 have be33lieved in God might be careful to maintain good34 works. These things are good and profitable unto men.
⥃Avoid Divisions [ Romans 16:17–20 ]
[9] But avoid35 foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable36 and vain. [10] A man that is an heretic37k after38 the first and second admonition reject39; [11] Knowing that he that is such is subverted40, and sinneth, being41 condemned of himself.
⥃Final Remarks and Greetings
[12] When I shall send Artemas unto thee, or Tychicus42, be43 diligent to come unto me to Nicopolis: for44 I have determined there to winter. [13] Bring Zenas the lawyer45 and Apollos46 on47 their journey diligently, that nothing be wanting unto them. [14] And let ours also learn48 to maintain good works49 for necessary uses, that50 they be not unfruitful. [15] All that are with me51 salute thee. Greet52 them that love53 us in the faith. Grace54 [be] with you all. Amen.
