⥃To You I Lift Up My Soul

[A Psalm] of David.

[1] Unto thee, O Lord, do I2 lift up my soul.3 [2] O4 my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not5 mine enemies triumph over me. [3] Yea, let none that wait6 on thee be ashamed7: let8 them be ashamed which transgress without9 cause. [4] Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths.10 [5] Lead11 me in thy truth, and teach12 me: for thou [art] the God13 of my salvation; on thee14 do I wait all the day. [6] Remember15, O Lord, thy tender mercies16 and thy lovingkindnesses; for they17 [have been] ever of old. [7] Remember18 not the sins19 of my youth, nor my transgressions: according20 to thy mercy remember thou me for thy21 goodness’ sake, O Lord. [8] Good22 and upright23 [is] the Lord: therefore will he teach24 sinners in the way. [9] The meek25 will he guide26 in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way27. [10] All the paths28 of the Lord [are] mercy29 and truth unto such as keep30 his covenant and his testimonies. [11] For thy31 name’s sake, O Lord, pardon mine iniquity; for it32 [is] great. [12] What33 man [is] he that feareth the Lord? him34 shall he teach in the way [that] he shall choose. [13] His soul35 shall dwell at ease36; and his seed37 shall inherit38 the earth. [14] The secret39 of the Lord [is] with them that fear him; and he will40 shew them his covenant. [15] Mine41 eyes [are] ever toward the Lord; for he shall pluck42 my feet out43 of the net. [16] Turn44 thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I45 [am] desolate and afflicted. [17] The troubles of my heart are enlarged: [O] bring thou me out of my distresses.46 [18] Look47 upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive48 all my sins. [19] Consider49 mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred50. [20] O51 keep my soul, and deliver me: let52 me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee. [21] Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.53 [22] Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles. 54
