(KJV) Hebrews 3¹

⥃Jesus Our Apostle and High Priest

[1] Wherefore, holy² brethren, partakers³ of the heavenly⁴ calling, consider⁵ the Apostle⁶ and⁷ High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; [2] Who was faithful⁸ to him that appointed⁹ him, as¹⁰ also Moses [was faithful] in all¹¹ his house. [3] For this¹² [man] was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who¹³ hath builded the house hath more honour than the house. [4] For every house is builded by some [man]; but¹⁴ he that built all things [is] God. [5] And Moses verily [was] faithful¹⁵ in all his house, as¹⁶ a servant, for¹⁷ a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after; [6] But Christ as¹⁸ a son over his own house; whose¹⁹ house are we, if²⁰ we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing²¹ of the hope firm unto the end.

⥃Do Not Harden Your Hearts ^{[ Psalms 95:1–11 ]}

[7] Wherefore (as²² the Holy Ghost saith, To day²³ if ye will hear²⁴ his voice, [8] Harden²⁵ not your hearts, as²⁶ in the provocation, in the day of²⁷ temptation in the wilderness: [9] When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and²⁸ saw my works forty²⁹ years. [10] Wherefore I was³⁰ grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err³¹ in [their] heart; and they have³² not known my ways. [11] So I sware³³ in my wrath, They shall not enter³⁴ into my rest³⁵.)

⥃The Peril of Unbelief

[12] Take³⁶ heed, brethren, lest there be in an³⁷y of you an evil heart of unbelief, in³⁸ departing from the³⁹ living God. [13] But exhort⁴⁰ one another daily⁴¹, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness⁴² of sin. [14] For we are⁴³ made partakers of Christ, if⁴⁴ we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end; [15] While it is said, To day⁴⁵ if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. [16] For some⁴⁶, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not⁴⁷ all that came out of Egypt by Moses. [17] But with whom was he grieved forty years? [was it⁴⁸] not with them that had sinned, whose⁴⁹ carcases fell in the wilderness?⁵⁰ [18] And to whom⁵¹ sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but⁵² to them that believed not? [19] So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief. ⁵³
