(KJV) 1 Corinthians 5¹

⥃Immorality Rebuked ^{[ Leviticus 20:10–21 † Proverbs 5:1–23 ]}

[1] It is reported² commonly [that there is] fornication³ among you, and⁴ such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one⁵ should have his father’s wife. [2] And ye are⁶ puffed up, and have not rather mourned⁷, that he that hath done this deed might⁸ be taken away from among you. [3] For I verily, as absent⁹ in body, but present in spirit, have judged¹⁰ already, as though I were present, [concerning] him that hath so done this deed, [4] In the name¹¹ of our Lord Jesus Christ, when¹² ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, [5] To deliver¹³ such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that¹⁴ the spirit may be saved in the day¹⁵ of the Lord Jesus. [6] Your glorying¹⁶ [is] not good. Know ye not that a little¹⁷ leaven leaveneth the whole lump? [7] Purge¹⁸ out therefore the old leaven, that ye may¹⁹ be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ²⁰ our passover is sacrificed²¹ for us: [8] Therefore let²² us keep the feast²³, not²⁴ with old leaven, neither²⁵ with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but²⁶ with the unleavened [bread] of sincerity and truth.

⥃Expel the Immoral Brother

[9] I wrote unto you in an epistle not²⁷ to company with fornicators: [10] Yet not altogether²⁸ with the fornicators of this²⁹ world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for³⁰ then must ye needs go out of the world. [11] But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called³¹ a brother be a fornicator³², or covetous³³, or an idolater³⁴, or a railer³⁵, or a drunkard³⁶, or an extortioner³⁷; with³⁸ such an one no not to eat. [12] For what³⁹ have I to do to judge them⁴⁰ also that are without? do not⁴¹ ye judge them that are within? [13] But them that are without God⁴² judgeth. Therefore⁴³ put away from among yourselves that wicked person.
