⥃A Greeting from Jude ^{[ James 1:1 ]}

[1] Jude³, the servant⁴ of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them⁵ that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved⁶ in Jesus Christ, [and] called⁷:⁸ [2] Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied.⁹

⥃God’s Judgment on the Ungodly ^{[ 2 Peter 3:1–7 ]}

[3] Beloved, when¹⁰ I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common¹¹ salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort [you] that ye¹² should earnestly contend for the faith which¹³ was once delivered unto the saints¹⁴. [4] For there are certain men crept¹⁵ in unawares, who¹⁶ were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly¹⁷ men, turning¹⁸ the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying¹⁹ the only²⁰ Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. [5] I will therefore put²¹ you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having²² saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward²³ destroyed them that believed not. [6] And the angels²⁴ which kept not their first estate²⁵, but left their own habitation, he hath²⁶ reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto²⁷ the judgment of the great day. [7] Even as²⁸ Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange²⁹ flesh, are³⁰ set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal³¹ fire. [8] Likewise also these³² [filthy] dreamers defile³³ the flesh, despise³⁴ dominion, and speak³⁵ evil of dignities. [9] Yet Michael³⁶ the archangel³⁷, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body³⁸ of Moses, durst³⁹ not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord⁴⁰ rebuke thee. [10] But these speak⁴¹ evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those⁴² things they corrupt themselves. [11] Woe⁴³ unto them! for⁴⁴ they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran⁴⁵ greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished⁴⁶ in the gainsaying of Core. [12] These are spots⁴⁷ in your feasts⁴⁸ of charity, when they feast with you, feeding⁴⁹ themselves without fear: clouds⁵⁰ [they are] without water, carried⁵¹ about of winds; trees⁵² whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice⁵³ dead, plucked⁵⁴ up by the roots; [13] Raging⁵⁵ waves of the sea, foaming⁵⁶ out their own shame; wandering⁵⁷ stars, to whom⁵⁸ is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever. [14] And Enoch⁵⁹ also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold⁶⁰, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, [15] To execute⁶¹ judgment upon all, and to convince⁶² all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all⁶³ their hard [speeches] which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. [16] These are murmurers⁶⁴, complainers, walking⁶⁵ after their own lusts; and their mouth⁶⁶ speaketh great swelling [words], having⁶⁷ men’s persons in admiration because of advantage.

⥃A Call to Persevere ^{[ Hebrews 10:19–39 † 2 Peter 3:1–7 ]}

[17] But, beloved, remember⁶⁸ ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; [18] How that they told you there⁶⁹ should be mockers in the last time, who⁷⁰ should walk after their own ungodly lusts. [19] These be they who⁷¹ separate themselves, sensual⁷², having⁷³ not the Spirit. [20] But ye, beloved, building⁷⁴ up yourselves on your most⁷⁵ holy faith, praying⁷⁶ in the Holy Ghost, [21] Keep⁷⁷ yourselves in⁷⁸ the love of God, looking⁷⁹ for the mercy⁸⁰ of our Lord Jesus Christ unto⁸¹ eternal life. [22] And of some have compassion, making a difference:⁸² [23] And others save⁸³ with fear, pulling⁸⁴ [them] out of the fire; hating⁸⁵ even the garment spotted by the flesh.

⥃Doxology ^{[ Romans 16:25–27 ]}

[24] Now unto him that is able⁸⁶ to keep you from falling, and to present⁸⁷ [you] faultless⁸⁸ before the presence⁸⁹ of his glory with exceeding⁹⁰ joy, [25] To the only⁹¹ wise God⁹² our Saviour, [be] glory⁹³ and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
