Sing to the LORD a New Song[ Psalms 98:1–9 Isaiah 42:10–17 ]

[1] Praise ye the Lord2. Sing3 unto the Lord a new song, [and] his praise in the congregation4 of saints. [2] Let Israel rejoice5 in him that made him: let the6 children of Zion be joyful in their King. [3] Let them praise his name in the dance7: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel8 and harp. [4] For the Lord taketh pleasure9 in his people: he will beautify10 the meek with salvation. [5] Let the saints11 be joyful in glory: let them sing12 aloud upon their beds. [6] [Let] the high13 [praises] of God [be] in their mouth14, and a twoedged15 sword in their hand; [7] To execute vengeance upon the heathen, [and] punishments upon the people;16 [8] To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;17 [9] To execute18 upon them the judgment written: this honour19 have all his saints. Praise ye the Lord.
