(KJV) Hebrews 13¹

⥃Brotherly Love

[1] Let brotherly love continue.² [2] Be not³ forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some⁴ have entertained angels unawares. [3] Remember them that⁵ are in bonds, as bound with them; [and] them which suffer⁶ adversity, as being yourselves also in the body. [4] Marriage⁷ [is] honourable in all, and the bed⁸ undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God⁹ will judge.

⥃Christ’s Unchanging Nature

[5] [Let your] conversation¹⁰ [be] without covetousness; [and be¹¹] content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will¹² never leave thee, nor forsake thee. [6] So that we may boldly¹³ say, The Lord¹⁴ [is] my helper, and I will¹⁵ not fear what man shall do unto me. [7] Remember them which¹⁶ have the rule¹⁷ over you, who have spoken unto you the word¹⁸ of God: whose¹⁹ faith follow, considering²⁰ the end²¹ of [their] conversation. [8] Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.²² [9] Be not carried²³ about with divers and strange doctrines. For [it is²⁴] a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with²⁵ meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein. [10] We have an altar²⁶, whereof they have no right to eat which serve²⁷ the tabernacle. [11] For the bodies²⁸ of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp. [12] Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify²⁹ the people with his own blood, suffered³⁰ without the gate. [13] Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.³¹ [14] For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.³²

⥃Sacrifice, Obedience, and Prayer

[15] By him³³ therefore let us offer the sacrifice³⁴ of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit³⁵ of [our] lips giving thanks to³⁶ his name. [16] But to do³⁷ good and to communicate³⁸ forget not: for with such³⁹ sacrifices God is well pleased. [17] Obey⁴⁰ them that have the rule over⁴¹ you, and submit⁴² yourselves: for they watch⁴³ for your souls, as they that must give account⁴⁴, that they may do it with joy⁴⁵, and not with grief⁴⁶: for that [is] unprofitable for you. [18] Pray⁴⁷ for us: for we trust we have⁴⁸ a good conscience, in all⁴⁹ things willing to live honestly. [19] But I beseech [you] the rather to do this, that I⁵⁰ may be restored to you the sooner.

⥃Benediction and Farewell

[20] Now the God⁵¹ of peace, that brought⁵² again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great⁵³ shepherd of the sheep, through the blood⁵⁴ of the everlasting⁵⁵ covenant⁵⁶, [21] Make⁵⁷ you perfect in every⁵⁸ good work to do⁵⁹ his will, working⁶⁰ in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through⁶¹ Jesus Christ; to whom⁶² [be] glory for ever and ever. Amen⁶³. [22] And I beseech you, brethren, suffer⁶⁴ the word of exhortation: for⁶⁵ I have written a letter unto you in few words. [23] Know ye that [our] brother⁶⁶ Timothy is set⁶⁷ at liberty; with whom, if he come shortly, I will⁶⁸ see you. [24] Salute⁶⁹ all them that have the rule⁷⁰ over you, and all⁷¹ the saints. They⁷² of Italy⁷³ salute you. [25] Grace [be] with you all. Amen.
