⥃Absent in Body, Present in Spirit ^{[ Revelation 3:14–22 ]}

[1] For I would that ye knew what² great conflict³ I have for you, and [for] them at⁴ Laodicea, and [for] as many as have not⁵ seen my face in the flesh; [2] That their⁶ hearts might be comforted, being⁷ knit together in love, and unto all⁸ riches of the full⁹ assurance of understanding¹⁰, to the¹¹ acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father¹², and of Christ; [3] In whom¹³ are hid¹⁴ all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. [4] And this I say, lest¹⁵ any man should beguile you with enticing¹⁶ words. [5] For though I be¹⁷ absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding¹⁸ your order, and the¹⁹ stedfastness of your faith in Christ.

⥃Alive with Christ ^{[ Ephesians 2:1–10 ]}

[6] As ye have therefore received²⁰ Christ Jesus the Lord, [so] walk²¹ ye in him: [7] Rooted²² and built²³ up in him, and stablished²⁴ in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with²⁵ thanksgiving. [8] Beware²⁶ lest any man spoil²⁷ you through philosophy²⁸ and vain deceit, after the tradition²⁹ of men, after the rudiments³⁰ of the world, and not after Christ³¹. [9] For in³² him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily³³. [10] And ye are complete³⁴ in him, which is the head³⁵ of all principality and power: [11] In whom³⁶ also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without³⁷ hands, in putting³⁸ off the body of the sins of the flesh by³⁹ the circumcision of Christ: [12] Buried⁴⁰ with him in baptism⁴¹, wherein⁴² also ye are risen with [him] through the faith⁴³ of the operation of God, who⁴⁴ hath raised him from the dead. [13] And you, being dead⁴⁵ in your sins and the⁴⁶ uncircumcision⁴⁷ of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having⁴⁸ forgiven you all trespasses; [14] Blotting⁴⁹ out the handwriting⁵⁰ of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took⁵¹ it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; [15] [And] having⁵² spoiled principalities⁵³ and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing⁵⁴ over them in it⁵⁵. [16] Let no man therefore judge⁵⁶ you in meat⁵⁷, or in drink, or in respect⁵⁸ of an⁵⁹ holyday, or of the new⁶⁰ moon, or of the sabbath⁶¹ [days]: [17] Which are a shadow⁶² of things to come; but the body⁶³ [is] of Christ. [18] Let no⁶⁴ man beguile you⁶⁵ of your reward in a voluntary humility⁶⁶ and worshipping⁶⁷ of angels, intruding⁶⁸ into those things which he hath not seen, vainly⁶⁹ puffed up by his fleshly⁷⁰ mind, [19] And not⁷¹ holding the Head, from which all⁷² the body by⁷³ joints and bands having nourishment⁷⁴ ministered, and knit⁷⁵ together, increaseth⁷⁶ with the increase of God. [20] Wherefore if⁷⁷ ye be dead with Christ from⁷⁸ the rudiments⁷⁹ of the world, why, as though living⁸⁰ in the world, are ye subject⁸¹ to ordinances, [21] (Touch not; taste not; handle not;⁸² [22] Which all are to⁸³ perish with the using;) after⁸⁴ the commandments and doctrines of men? [23] Which things have indeed a shew⁸⁵ of wisdom in will⁸⁶ worship, and humility, and neglecting⁸⁷ of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.
