⥃Prayerful Speech and Actions

[1] Masters, give² unto [your] servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye³ also have a Master in heaven. [2] Continue⁴ in prayer, and watch⁵ in the same with thanksgiving⁶; [3] Withal praying⁷ also for us, that⁸ God would open unto us a door⁹ of utterance, to speak the mystery¹⁰ of Christ, for¹¹ which I am also in bonds: [4] That I may¹² make it manifest, as¹³ I ought to speak. [5] Walk¹⁴ in wisdom toward them¹⁵ that are without, redeeming¹⁶ the time. [6] Let your¹⁷ speech [be] alway with grace, seasoned¹⁸ with salt, that ye may know how¹⁹ ye ought to answer every man.

[7] All my²⁰ state shall Tychicus²¹ declare unto you, [who is] a beloved²² brother, and a faithful²³ minister and fellowservant in the Lord: [8] Whom I have²⁴ sent unto you for the same purpose, that he might know your estate, and comfort²⁵ your hearts; [9] With Onesimus²⁶, a faithful and beloved brother, who is [one] of you. They shall make known unto you all things which [are done] here. [10] Aristarchus²⁷ my fellowprisoner saluteth²⁸ you, and Marcus²⁹, sister’s son to Barnabas, (touching whom ye receive³⁰d commandments: if he come unto you, receive him;) [11] And Jesus, which is called Justus, who³¹ are of the circumcision. These only [are my] fellowworkers³² unto the kingdom of God, which have been a comfort³³ unto me. [12] Epaphras³⁴, who is [one] of you, a servant³⁵ of Christ, saluteth you, always³⁶ labouring³⁷ fervently for you in prayers, that³⁸ ye may stand perfect and complete³⁹ in all the will of God. [13] For I bear⁴⁰ him record, that he hath a great zeal for you, and them [that are] in Laodicea⁴¹, and them in Hierapolis. [14] Luke⁴², the beloved physician, and Demas⁴³, greet you.

[15] Salute the brethren which are in Laodicea⁴⁴, and Nymphas, and the church⁴⁵ which is in his house. [16] And when this epistle is read among you, cause that it be read also in the church of the Laodiceans; and that ye likewise read the [epistle] from Laodicea.⁴⁶ [17] And say to Archippus⁴⁷, Take⁴⁸ heed to the ministry⁴⁹ which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil⁵⁰ it. [18] The salutation by⁵¹ the hand of me Paul. Remember⁵² my bonds. Grace⁵³ [be] with you. Amen.
