⥃The LORD Has Heard My Voice 2

[1] I love3 the Lord, because4 he hath heard my voice [and] my supplications. [2] Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore5 will I call upon [him] as long as I live6. [3] The sorrows7 of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me8: I found9 trouble and sorrow. [4] Then called10 I upon the name of the Lord; O Lord11, I beseech thee, deliver my soul. [5] Gracious12 [is] the Lord, and righteous13; yea, our God [is] merciful. [6] The Lord preserveth14 the simple: I was15 brought low, and he helped me. [7] Return unto thy rest16, O my soul; for the Lord hath dealt17 bountifully with thee. [8] For thou18 hast delivered my soul from death, mine19 eyes from tears, [and] my feet20 from falling. [9] I will walk21 before the Lord in the land22 of the living. [10] I believed23, therefore24 have I spoken: I was greatly25 afflicted: [11] I said in my26 haste, All27 men [are] liars. [12] What shall I render unto the Lord [for] all his benefits toward me?28 [13] I will take29 the cup of salvation, and call30 upon the name of the Lord. [14] I will pay my vows31 unto the Lord now in the presence of all his people. [15] Precious32 in the sight of the Lord [is] the death of his saints. [16] O Lord, truly33 I [am] thy servant; I [am] thy servant, [and] the son34 of thine handmaid: thou hast35 loosed my bonds. [17] I will offer to thee the sacrifice36 of thanksgiving, and will call37 upon the name of the Lord. [18] I will pay my vows unto the Lord now in the presence of all his people,38 [19] In the courts of the Lord’s house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise ye the Lord. 39
