⥃Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem

A Song of degrees of David.

[1] I was glad2 when they said unto me, Let us go3 into the house of the Lord. [2] Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.4 [3] Jerusalem is builded5 as a city that is compact together: [4] Whither6 the tribes go up, the tribes of the Lord, unto the testimony7 of Israel, to give8 thanks unto the name of the Lord. [5] For there9 are set10 thrones of judgment, the thrones11 of the house of David. [6] Pray12 for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall13 prosper that love thee. [7] Peace14 be within thy walls, [and] prosperity within thy palaces15. [8] For my brethren and companions’ sakes, I will now say, Peace [be] within thee.16 [9] Because of the house17 of the Lord our God I will seek18 thy good.
