⥃The Blessed Fear of the LORD [ Psalms 128:1–6 ]

[1] Praise ye the Lord2. Blessed3 [is] the man [that] feareth the Lord, [that] delighteth4 greatly in his commandments. [2] His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.5 [3] Wealth6 and riches [shall be] in his house: and his7 righteousness endureth for ever. [4] Unto the upright there ariseth8 light in the darkness: [he is] gracious9, and full of compassion, and righteous10. [5] A good11 man sheweth12 favour, and lendeth: he will13 guide his affairs with discretion14. [6] Surely15 he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous16 shall be in everlasting remembrance. [7] He shall not17 be afraid of evil tidings: his heart18 is fixed, trusting19 in the Lord. [8] His heart20 [is] established, he shall21 not be afraid, until he22 see [his desire] upon his enemies. [9] He23 hath dispersed24, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness25 endureth for ever; his horn26 shall be exalted with honour. [10] The wicked27 shall see [it], and be grieved; he shall gnash28 with his teeth, and melt29 away: the desire30 of the wicked shall perish.
