⥃The LORD Is My Strength

[A Psalm] of David.

[1] Unto23 thee will I cry, O Lord my rock; be4 not silent to5 me: lest, [if] thou be silent to me, I become6 like them that go down into the pit. [2] Hear the voice of my supplications, when7 I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle8. [3] Draw9 me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, which speak10 peace to their neighbours, but mischief11 [is] in their hearts. [4] Give12 them according to their deeds, and13 according to the wickedness of their endeavours: give them after the work14 of their hands; render15 to them their desert. [5] Because16 they regard not the works of the Lord, nor the operation17 of his hands, he shall destroy them, and not build18 them up. [6] Blessed [be] the Lord, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications.19 [7] The Lord [is] my strength20 and my shield21; my heart22 trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore23 my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with24 my song will I praise him. [8] The Lord [is] their25 strength, and he [is] the saving strength26 of his27 anointed. [9] Save28 thy people, and bless29 thine inheritance: feed30 them also, and lift31 them up for ever.
