⥃God Is Our Refuge and Strength [ 2 Kings 18:13–16 † 2 Chronicles 32:1–8 ]

[1] God [is] our refuge4 and strength, a very5 present help in trouble. [2] Therefore will6 not we fear, though7 the earth be removed, and though the mountains8 be carried into the midst of the sea9; [3] [Though] the waters10 thereof roar [and] be troubled, [though] the mountains11 shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. [4] [There is] a river12, the streams whereof shall make glad the city13 of God, the holy14 [place] of the tabernacles of the most15 High. [5] God [is16] in the midst of her; she17 shall not be moved: God shall help her, [and that18] right early. [6] The heathen19 raged, the kingdoms20 were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth21 melted. [7] The Lord22 of hosts [is] with us; the God of Jacob [is] our refuge23. Selah. [8] Come24, behold the works of the Lord, what desolations25 he hath made in the earth. [9] He maketh26 wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh27 the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth28 the chariot in the fire. [10] Be still29, and know30 that I [am] God: I will be31 exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. [11] The Lord of hosts [is] with us; the God32 of Jacob [is] our refuge. Selah.
