(KJV) Hebrews 4¹

⥃The Sabbath Rest ^{[ Genesis 2:1–3 † Exodus 16:22–30 ]}

[1] Let us therefore² fear, lest, a promise³ being left [us] of entering into his⁴ rest, any⁵ of you should seem to come short of it. [2] For unto us⁶ was the gospel preached⁷, as well as unto them: but the word preached did⁸ not profit them, not being⁹ mixed with faith in them that heard [it]. [3] For we¹⁰ which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I¹¹ have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works¹² were finished from¹³ the foundation of the world. [4] For he spake in¹⁴ a certain place of the seventh [day] on this wise, And God¹⁵ did rest the seventh day from all his works. [5] And in this [place] again, If they shall enter into my rest.¹⁶ [6] Seeing therefore it remaineth¹⁷ that some¹⁸ must enter therein, and they¹⁹ to whom it was²⁰ first preached entered²¹ not in because of unbelief: [7] Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying²² in David, To day²³, after²⁴ so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts. [8] For if Jesus²⁵ had²⁶ given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. [9] There remaineth²⁷ therefore a rest²⁸ to the people²⁹ of God. [10] For he that³⁰ is entered into his rest, he also hath³¹ ceas³²ed from his own works, as God [did] from his. [11] Let³³ us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest³⁴ any man fall after the same example of unbelief³⁵.

⥃The Living Word ^{[ 2 Timothy 3:10–17 ]}

[12] For the word³⁶ of God [is] quick³⁷, and powerful, and sharper³⁸ than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is³⁹] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. [13] Neither is there⁴⁰ any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things [are] naked⁴¹ and opened unto the eyes of him with⁴² whom we have to do. [14] Seeing then that we have a great⁴³ high priest, that is⁴⁴ passed into the heavens, Jesus⁴⁵ the Son of God, let⁴⁶ us hold fast [our] profession. [15] For we have⁴⁷ not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted⁴⁸ like as [we are], [yet⁴⁹] without sin. [16] Let us therefore come⁵⁰ boldly unto the throne⁵¹ of grace, that we may obtain⁵² mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
