[1] Adam, Sheth², Enosh³, [2] Kenan⁴, Mahalaleel⁵, Jered⁶, [3] Henoch⁷, Methuselah⁸, Lamech⁹, [4] Noah¹⁰, Shem¹¹, Ham, and Japheth.

[5] [¶]The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.¹² [6] And the sons of Gomer; Ashchenaz¹³, and Riphath¹⁴, and Togarmah. [7] And the sons of Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish¹⁵, Kittim¹⁶, and Dodanim¹⁷.

[8] [¶]The sons¹⁸ of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, Put¹⁹, and Canaan. [9] And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabta²⁰, and Raamah, and Sabtecha. And the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan. [10] And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be mighty upon the earth.²¹ [11] And Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,²² [12] And Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (of whom came the Philistines,) and Caphthorim²³. [13] And Canaan²⁴ begat Zidon his firstborn, and Heth²⁵, [14] The Jebusite²⁶ also, and the Amorite²⁷, and the Girgashite²⁸, [15] And the Hivite²⁹, and the Arkite, and the Sinite, [16] And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite³⁰.

[17] [¶]The sons of Shem³¹; Elam³², and Asshur³³, and Arphaxad, and Lud³⁴, and Aram³⁵, and Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Meshech³⁶. [18] And Arphaxad begat Shelah³⁷, and Shelah begat Eber. [19] And unto Eber³⁸ were born two sons: the name of the one [was] Peleg³⁹; because in his days the earth was divided: and his brother’s name [was] Joktan. [20] And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth⁴⁰, and Jerah, [21] Hadoram⁴¹ also, and Uzal, and Diklah, [22] And Ebal⁴², and Abimael, and Sheba, [23] And Ophir⁴³, and Havilah⁴⁴, and Jobab. All these [were] the sons of Joktan.

[24] [¶]Shem⁴⁵, Arphaxad, Shelah⁴⁶, [25] Eber⁴⁷, Peleg⁴⁸, Reu⁴⁹, [26] Serug⁵⁰, Nahor⁵¹, Terah⁵², [27] Abram⁵³; the same [is] Abraham.

⥃The Descendants of Abraham ^{[ Genesis 25:12–18 ]}

[28] The sons of Abraham; Isaac⁵⁴, and Ishmael⁵⁵.

[29] [¶]These [are] their generations: The firstborn⁵⁶ of Ishmael, Nebaioth⁵⁷; then Kedar⁵⁸, and Adbeel, and Mibsam, [30] Mishma, and Dumah⁵⁹, Massa, Hadad⁶⁰, and Tema, [31] Jetur⁶¹, Naphish, and Kedemah. These are the sons of Ishmael.

[32] [¶]Now the sons⁶² of Keturah, Abraham’s concubine: she bare Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian⁶³, and Ishbak, and Shuah. And the sons of Jokshan; Sheba⁶⁴, and Dedan⁶⁵.⁶⁶ [33] And the sons of Midian; Ephah⁶⁷, and Epher, and Henoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these [are] the sons of Keturah. [34] And Abraham⁶⁸ begat Isaac. The sons of Isaac⁶⁹; Esau and Israel⁷⁰.

⥃The Descendants of Esau ^{[ Genesis 36:1–19 ]}

[35] [¶]The sons of Esau⁷¹; Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah. [36] The sons of Eliphaz; Teman⁷², and Omar⁷³, Zephi⁷⁴, and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek. [37] The sons of Reuel⁷⁵; Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.

⥃The Descendants of Seir ^{[ Genesis 36:20–30 ]}

[38] And the sons of Seir⁷⁶; Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer⁷⁷, and Dishan. [39] And the sons of Lotan; Hori⁷⁸, and Homam⁷⁹: and Timna [was] Lotan’s sister. [40] The sons of Shobal; Alian⁸⁰, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi⁸¹, and Onam. And the sons of Zibeon; Aiah⁸², and Anah. [41] The sons⁸³ of Anah; Dishon⁸⁴. And the sons of Dishon; Amram⁸⁵, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran. [42] The sons of Ezer; Bilhan, and Zavan⁸⁶, [and] Jakan⁸⁷. The sons of Dishan; Uz, and Aran.

⥃The Kings of Edom ^{[ Genesis 36:31–43 ]}

[43] [¶]Now these [are] the kings⁸⁸ that reigned in the land of Edom before [any] king reigned over the children of Israel; Bela the son of Beor: and the name of his city [was] Dinhabah. [44] And when Bela was dead, Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah⁸⁹ reigned in his stead. [45] And when Jobab⁹⁰ was dead, Husham⁹¹ of the land of the Temanites⁹² reigned in his stead. [46] And when Husham was dead, Hadad⁹³ the son of Bedad⁹⁴, which smote Midian⁹⁵ in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city [was] Avith⁹⁶. [47] And when Hadad was dead, Samlah⁹⁷ of Masrekah⁹⁸ reigned in his stead. [48] And when Samlah was dead, Shaul⁹⁹ of Rehoboth by the river reigned in his stead. [49] And when Shaul was dead, Baal–hanan¹⁰⁰ the son of Achbor¹⁰¹ reigned in his stead. [50] And when Baal–hanan was dead, Hadad¹⁰² reigned in his stead: and the name of his city [was] Pai¹⁰³; and his wife’s name [was] Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.

[51] [¶]Hadad died also. And the dukes of Edom were; duke Timnah, duke Aliah¹⁰⁴, duke Jetheth, [52] Duke Aholibamah¹⁰⁵, duke Elah, duke Pinon, [53] Duke Kenaz¹⁰⁶, duke Teman¹⁰⁷, duke Mibzar¹⁰⁸, [54] Duke Magdiel, duke Iram. These [are¹⁰⁹] the dukes of Edom.
