⥃Praise the LORD, O My Soul

[1] Praise ye the Lord2. Praise the Lord3, O my soul.4 [2] While I live5 will I praise the Lord: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being. [3] Put6 not your trust in princes, [nor] in the son of man, in whom [there is] no help7. [4] His breath8 goeth forth, he returneth9 to his earth; in that very day his thoughts10 perish. [5] Happy11 [is he] that [hath] the God12 of Jacob for his help, whose13 hope [is] in the Lord his God: [6] Which made heaven14, and earth, the sea15, and all that therein [is]: which keepeth truth16 for ever: [7] Which executeth17 judgment for the oppressed: which giveth food18 to the hungry. The Lord looseth19 the prisoners: [8] The Lord openeth20 [the eyes of] the blind: the Lord raiseth21 them that are bowed down: the Lord loveth22 the righteous: [9] The Lord preserveth23 the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the way24 of the wicked he turneth upside down. [10] The Lord shall reign25 for ever, [even] thy God26, O Zion, unto all generations. Praise ye the Lord.
