⥃In the LORD I Take Refuge [ Habakkuk 1:12–17 ]

To the chief Musician, [A Psalm] of David.

[1] In the2 Lord put I my trust: how3 say ye to my soul, Flee4 [as] a bird to your mountain?5 [2] For, lo6, the wicked bend [their] bow, they make7 ready their arrow upon the string, that8 they may privily9 shoot at the upright10 in heart. [3] If the11 foundations be destroyed, what12 can the righteous do? [4] The Lord13 [is] in his holy temple, the Lord’s14 throne [is] in heaven: his eyes15 behold, his eyelids try, the children of men. [5] The Lord trieth16 the righteous: but the wicked17 and him that loveth violence his soul hateth. [6] Upon18 the wicked he shall rain snares19, fire and brimstone, and an horrible20 tempest: [this shall be] the portion21 of their22 cup. [7] For23 the righteous Lord loveth righteousness; his24 countenance doth behold the upright.
