⥃Sing to the LORD a New Song [ Psalms 149:1–9 † Isaiah 42:10–17 ]

A Psalm.

[1] O sing2 unto the Lord a new song; for he3 hath done marvellous things: his right4 hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory. [2] The Lord hath made5 known his salvation: his righteousness6 hath he openly shewed7 in the sight of the heathen. [3] He hath remembered8 his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends9 of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. [4] Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.10 [5] Sing unto the Lord with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm.11 [6] With trumpets12 and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the Lord, the King13. [7] Let14 the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; the world15, and they that dwell therein. [8] Let the floods16 clap [their] hands: let the hills17 be joyful together [9] Before the Lord; for he cometh18 to judge the earth: with righteousness19 shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.
