1. adjective Ezek 16:14 (of Jerusalem) the report בְּיָפְיֵךְ כִּי כָּלִיל הוּא, Ezek 28:12 כְּלִיל יָֹֽפִי׃ (of the king of Tyre) entire, perfect in beauty; Ezek 27:3 אֲנִי כְּלִילַת יָֹֽפִי׃ (of Tyre), Lam 2:15 (of Jerusalem) הֲזֹאת הָעִיר שֶׁיּאֹמְרוּ כְּלִילַת יֹ֔פִי.
2. substantive a. entirety, whole, Exod 28:31 thou shalt make the robe of the ephod כְּלִיל תְּכֵלֶת a whole of purple (i.e. wholly purple); so Exod 39:22; Num 4:6 בֶּגֶד כְּלִיל תְּכֵלֶת; Judg 20:40 והנה עלה כְּלִילהָֿעִיר השׁמימה the whole of the city (perhaps with allusion to meaning b); as adverb accusative, Isa 2:18 וְהָאֱלִילִים כָּלִיל יַחֲלֹף will pass away in entirety, wholly.
