The Vision of the Measuring Line[ Ezekiel 40:1–4 ]

[1] I lifted2 up mine eyes again, and looked, and behold a man3 with a measuring line in his hand. [2] Then said I, Whither4 goest thou? And he said unto5 me, To measure Jerusalem, to see what [is] the breadth thereof, and what [is] the length thereof. [3] And, behold, the angel6 that talked with me went forth, and another7 angel went out to meet him, [4] And said unto him, Run, speak to this young8 man, saying, Jerusalem9 shall be inhabited [as] towns without walls for the multitude of men and cattle therein: [5] For I, saith the Lord, will be unto her a wall10 of fire round about, and will be the glory11 in the midst of her.

The Redemption of Zion[ Hosea 3:1–5 ]

[6] Ho12, ho, [come forth], and flee13 from the land of the north, saith the Lord: for I have spread14 you abroad as the four winds of the heaven, saith the Lord. [7] Deliver15 thyself, O Zion, that16 dwellest [with] the daughter17 of Babylon. [8] For thus saith the Lord of hosts; After18 the glory hath he sent19 me unto the nations20 which spoiled you: for21 he that toucheth you toucheth the apple22 of his eye. [9] For, behold, I will23 shake mine hand upon them, and they24 shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye25 shall know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me.

[10] Sing and rejoice26, O daughter of Zion: for, lo27, I come, and I28 will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the Lord. [11] And many29 nations shall be joined to the Lord in that day30, and shall be my people31: and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou32 shalt know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me unto thee. [12] And the Lord shall inherit33 Judah his portion in the holy land, and shall34 choose Jerusalem again. [13] Be35 silent, O all flesh, befor36e the Lord: for he is raised up out of his holy habitation37.
