ἐντείνω,

stretch or strain tight, especially of any operation performed with straps or cords,

__1 ἐνέτεινε τὸν θρόνον [ἱμᾶσι] [Refs 5th c.BC+]:—more frequently (as always in [Refs 8th c.BC+]passive, δίφρος.. ἱμᾶσιν ἐντέταται is hung on tight-stretched straps.
