ἀνα-πληρόω, -ῶ, [in LXX chiefly for מלא, Le 12:6, al.; also שׁלם (Ge 15:16, III Ki 7:51, Is 60:20), etc.;]
1. to fill up, make full (in π. of completing contracts and making up rent; cf. MM, VGT, s.v.): τόπον, take one's place (cf. Heb. מָקוֹם מִלֵּא), I Co 14:16; άμαρτίας, complete the number, I Th 2:16; τ. νόμον, observe perfectly, Ga 6:2; pass., προφητεία, fulfilled, Mt 13:14.
