But Jonathan Saul’s son delighted much in David: and Jonathan told David, saying, Saul my father seeketh to kill thee: now therefore, I pray thee, take heed to thyself until the morning, and abide in a secret [place], and hide thyself:

so he warned David, saying, “My father Saul intends to kill you. Be on your guard in the morning; find a secret place and hide there.

וַ יַּגֵּ֤ד יְהוֹנָתָן֙ לְ דָוִ֣ד לֵ אמֹ֔ר מְבַקֵּ֛שׁ שָׁא֥וּל אָבִ֖י לַ הֲמִיתֶ֑ךָ וְ עַתָּה֙ הִשָּֽׁמֶר ־ נָ֣א בַ בֹּ֔קֶר וְ יָשַׁבְתָּ֥ בַ סֵּ֖תֶר וְ נַחְבֵּֽאתָ ׃
