For the land, whither thou goest in to possess it, [is] not as the land of Egypt, from whence ye came out, where thou sowedst thy seed, and wateredst [it] with thy foot, as a garden of herbs:

For the land that you are entering to possess is not like the land of Egypt, from which you have come, where you sowed your seed and irrigated on foot, like a vegetable garden.

כִּ֣י הָ אָ֗רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֨ר אַתָּ֤ה בָא ־ שָׁ֙מָּ ה֙ לְ רִשְׁתָּ֔הּ לֹ֣א כְ אֶ֤רֶץ מִצְרַ֙יִם֙ הִ֔וא אֲשֶׁ֥ר יְצָאתֶ֖ם מִ שָּׁ֑ם אֲשֶׁ֤ר תִּזְרַע֙ אֶֽת ־ זַרְעֲ ךָ֔ וְ הִשְׁקִ֥יתָ בְ רַגְלְ ךָ֖ כְּ גַ֥ן הַ יָּרָֽק ׃
