cut, cut off, pare, trim [whence Buhl assumes √ קטט]), to account for יְקוֺט Job 8:14, either as Qal Imperfect 3 masculine singular whose hope snappeth; or as noun [masculine] = fragile thing (|| בֵּית עַכָּבִישׁ; compare Di Bu); probably corrupt; Du Beer read קוּרִים Bu conjecture קֻרֵי קַיִט [Aramaism for קַיִץ ׳ק].
