Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth [month], in the fifth [day] of the month, as I [was] among the captives by the river of Chebar, [that] the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.

In the thirtieth year, on the fifth day of the fourth month, while I was among the exiles by the River Kebar, the heavens opened and I saw visions of God.

וַ יְהִ֣י ׀ בִּ שְׁלֹשִׁ֣ים שָׁנָ֗ה בָּֽ רְבִיעִי֙ בַּ חֲמִשָּׁ֣ה לַ חֹ֔דֶשׁ וַ אֲנִ֥י בְ תֽוֹךְ ־ הַ גּוֹלָ֖ה עַל ־ נְהַר ־ כְּבָ֑ר נִפְתְּחוּ֙ הַ שָּׁמַ֔יִם וָ אֶרְאֶ֖ה מַרְא֥וֹת אֱלֹהִֽים ׃
