And he afflicted you, and caused you to hunger, and fed you the manna which your fathers had not known; that he should announce to you that, A man live not by bread alone; but by every word going forth through [the] mouth of God a man live.

και εκάκωσέ σε και ελιμαγχόνησέ σε και εψώμισέ σε το μάννα ο ουκ ήδεισαν οι πατέρες σου ίνα αναγγείλη σοι ότι ουκ επ΄ άρτω μόνω ζήσεται ο άνθρωπος αλλ΄ επί παντί ρήματι τω εκπορευομένω διά στόματος θεού ζήσεται ο άνθρωπος
