But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he [is] like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap:
_BSB:
But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He will be like a refiner’s fire, like a launderer’s soap.
_Hebrew:
וּ מִ֤י מְכַלְכֵּל֙ אֶת ־ י֣וֹם בּוֹא֔וֹ וּ מִ֥י הָ עֹמֵ֖ד בְּ הֵרָֽאוֹת֑וֹ כִּֽי ־ הוּא֙ כְּ אֵ֣שׁ מְצָרֵ֔ף וּ כְ בֹרִ֖ית מְכַבְּסִֽים ׃
