And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.

“Go throughout the city of Jerusalem,” said the LORD, “and put a mark on the foreheads of the men sighing and groaning over all the abominations committed there.”

וַ יֹּ֤אמֶר יְהוָה֙ אֵלָ֔י ו עֲבֹר֙ בְּ ת֣וֹךְ הָ עִ֔יר בְּ ת֖וֹךְ יְרֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם וְ הִתְוִ֨יתָ תָּ֜ו עַל ־ מִצְח֣וֹת הָ אֲנָשִׁ֗ים הַ נֶּֽאֱנָחִים֙ וְ הַ נֶּ֣אֱנָקִ֔ים עַ֚ל כָּל ־ הַ תּ֣וֹעֵב֔וֹת הַֽ נַּעֲשׂ֖וֹת בְּ תוֹכָֽ הּ ׃
