Now in the twenty and fourth day of this month the children of Israel were assembled with fasting, and with sackclothes, and earth upon them.

On the twenty-fourth day of the same month, the Israelites gathered together, fasting and wearing sackcloth, with dust on their heads.

וּ בְ יוֹם֩ עֶשְׂרִ֨ים וְ אַרְבָּעָ֜ה לַ חֹ֣דֶשׁ הַ זֶּ֗ה נֶאֶסְפ֤וּ בְנֵֽי ־ יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ בְּ צ֣וֹם וּ בְ שַׂקִּ֔ים וַ אֲדָמָ֖ה עֲלֵי הֶֽם ׃
