Also day by day, from the first day unto the last day, he read in the book of the law of God. And they kept the feast seven days; and on the eighth day [was] a solemn assembly, according unto the manner.

Day after day, from the first day to the last, Ezra read from the Book of the Law of God. The Israelites kept the feast for seven days, and on the eighth day they held an assembly, according to the ordinance.

וַ֠יִּקְרָא בְּ סֵ֨פֶר תּוֹרַ֤ת הָ אֱלֹהִים֙ י֣וֹם ׀ בְּ י֔וֹם מִן ־ הַ יּוֹם֙ הָֽ רִאשׁ֔וֹן עַ֖ד הַ יּ֣וֹם הָ אַחֲר֑וֹן וַ יַּֽעֲשׂוּ ־ חָג֙ שִׁבְעַ֣ת יָמִ֔ים וּ בַ יּ֧וֹם הַ שְּׁמִינִ֛י עֲצֶ֖רֶת כַּ מִּשְׁפָּֽט ׃ פ
