And the officers shall speak unto the people, saying, What man [is there] that hath built a new house, and hath not dedicated it? let him go and return to his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man dedicate it.
_BSB:
Furthermore, the officers are to address the army, saying, “Has any man built a new house and not dedicated it? Let him return home, or he may die in battle and another man dedicate it.

וְ דִבְּר֣וּ הַ שֹּֽׁטְרִים֮ אֶל ־ הָ עָ֣ם לֵ אמֹר֒ מִֽי ־ הָ אִ֞ישׁ אֲשֶׁ֨ר בָּנָ֤ה בַֽיִת ־ חָדָשׁ֙ וְ לֹ֣א חֲנָכ֔וֹ יֵלֵ֖ךְ וְ יָשֹׁ֣ב לְ בֵית֑וֹ פֶּן ־ יָמוּת֙ בַּ מִּלְחָמָ֔ה וְ אִ֥ישׁ אַחֵ֖ר יַחְנְכֶֽ נּוּ ׃
