And Jacob said unto his father, I [am] Esau thy firstborn; I have done according as thou badest me: arise, I pray thee, sit and eat of my venison, that thy soul may bless me.

Jacob said to his father, “I am Esau, your firstborn. I have done as you told me. Please sit up and eat some of my game, so that you may bless me.”

וַ יֹּ֨אמֶר יַעֲקֹ֜ב אֶל ־ אָבִ֗י ו אָנֹכִי֙ עֵשָׂ֣ו בְּכֹרֶ֔ךָ עָשִׂ֕יתִי כַּ אֲשֶׁ֥ר דִּבַּ֖רְתָּ אֵלָ֑י קֽוּם ־ נָ֣א שְׁבָ֗ה וְ אָכְלָ ה֙ מִ צֵּידִ֔י בַּ עֲב֖וּר תְּבָרֲכַ֥נִּי נַפְשֶֽׁ ךָ ׃
