_KJV:
Yet destroyed I the Amorite before them, whose height [was] like the height of the cedars, and he [was] strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath.
_BSB:
Yet it was I who destroyed the Amorite before them, though his height was like that of the cedars, and he was as strong as the oaks. Yet I destroyed his fruit above and his roots below.

וְ אָ֨נֹכִ֜י הִשְׁמַ֤דְתִּי אֶת ־ הָֽ אֱמֹרִי֙ מִ פְּנֵי הֶ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֨ר כְּ גֹ֤בַהּ אֲרָזִים֙ גָּבְה֔וֹ וְ חָסֹ֥ן ה֖וּא כָּֽ אַלּוֹנִ֑ים וָ אַשְׁמִ֤יד פִּרְי וֹ֙ מִ מַּ֔עַל וְ שָׁרָשָׁ֖י ו מִ תָּֽחַת ׃
