O God, the proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent [men] have sought after my soul; and have not set thee before them.

The arrogant rise against me, O God; a band of ruthless men seeks my life; they have no regard for You.

אֱלֹהִ֤ים ׀ זֵ֘דִ֤ים קָֽמוּ ־ עָלַ֗י וַ עֲדַ֣ת עָ֭רִיצִים בִּקְשׁ֣וּ נַפְשִׁ֑י וְ לֹ֖א שָׂמ֣וּ ךָ לְ נֶגְדָּֽ ם ׃
