But the queen Vashti refused to come at the king’s commandment by [his] chamberlains: therefore was the king very wroth, and his anger burned in him.
_BSB:
Queen Vashti, however, refused to come at the king’s command brought by his eunuchs. And the king became furious, and his anger burned within him.

וַ תְּמָאֵ֞ן הַ מַּלְכָּ֣ה וַשְׁתִּ֗י לָ בוֹא֙ בִּ דְבַ֣ר הַ מֶּ֔לֶךְ אֲשֶׁ֖ר בְּ יַ֣ד הַ סָּרִיסִ֑ים וַ יִּקְצֹ֤ף הַ מֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ מְאֹ֔ד וַ חֲמָת֖וֹ בָּעֲרָ֥ה בֽ וֹ ׃
