But I have chosen Jerusalem, that my name might be there; and have chosen David to be over my people Israel.

וָ אֶבְחַר֙ בִּ יר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם לִ הְי֥וֹת שְׁמִ֖י שָׁ֑ם וָ אֶבְחַ֣ר בְּ דָוִ֔יד לִ הְי֖וֹת עַל ־ עַמִּ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל ׃
