Then David sent home to Tamar, saying, Go now to thy brother Amnon’s house, and dress him meat.

Then David sent word to Tamar at the palace: “Please go to the house of Amnon your brother and prepare a meal for him.”

וַ יִּשְׁלַ֥ח דָּוִ֛ד אֶל ־ תָּמָ֖ר הַ בַּ֣יְתָ ה לֵ אמֹ֑ר לְכִ֣י נָ֗א בֵּ֚ית אַמְנ֣וֹן אָחִ֔י ךְ וַ עֲשִׂי ־ ל֖וֹ הַ בִּרְיָֽה ׃
