And the LORD said unto Moses, Go on before the people, and take with thee of the elders of Israel; and thy rod, wherewith thou smotest the river, take in thine hand, and go.

And the LORD said to Moses, “Walk on ahead of the people and take some of the elders of Israel with you. Take along in your hand the staff with which you struck the Nile, and go.

וַ יֹּ֨אמֶר יְהוָ֜ה אֶל ־ מֹשֶׁ֗ה עֲבֹר֙ לִ פְנֵ֣י הָ עָ֔ם וְ קַ֥ח אִתְּ ךָ֖ מִ זִּקְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וּ מַטְּ ךָ֗ אֲשֶׁ֨ר הִכִּ֤יתָ בּ וֹ֙ אֶת ־ הַ יְאֹ֔ר קַ֥ח בְּ יָדְ ךָ֖ וְ הָלָֽכְתָּ ׃
