And he went on his journeys from the south even to Bethel, unto the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between Bethel and Hai;

From the Negev he journeyed from place to place toward Bethel, until he came to the place between Bethel and Ai where his tent had formerly been pitched,

וַ יֵּ֙לֶךְ֙ לְ מַסָּעָ֔י ו מִ נֶּ֖גֶב וְ עַד ־ בֵּֽית ־ אֵ֑ל עַד ־ הַ מָּק֗וֹם אֲשֶׁר ־ הָ֨יָה שָׁ֤ם אָֽהֳל וֹ֙ בַּ תְּחִלָּ֔ה בֵּ֥ין בֵּֽית ־ אֵ֖ל וּ בֵ֥ין הָ עָֽי ׃
