⥃Answer Me When I Call!

To the chief Musician on Negino2th3, A Psalm of David.

[1] Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou4 hast enlarged me [when I was] in distress; have mercy upon me5, and hear my prayer. [2] O6 ye sons of men, how7 long [will ye turn] my glory8 into shame? [how long] will ye love9 vanity, [and] seek after leasing10? Selah. [3] But know that the11 Lord hath set apart him that is godly for12 himself: the Lord13 will hear when I call unto him. [4] Stand14 in awe, and sin15 not: commune16 with your own heart upon your bed, and be still17. Selah18. [5] Offer19 the sacrifices of righteousness, and put20 your trust in the Lord. [6] [There be] many21 that say, Who will shew us [any] good? Lord, lift22 thou up the light of thy countenance upon us. [7] Thou hast put23 gladness in my heart, more than in the time24 [that] their corn and their wine increased. [8] I will25 both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for26 thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety.
