I. שְׁפַתָּ֑יִם noun [masculine] dual: probably = מִשְׁפְּתַיִם, below, q. v.; — ׳בֵּין שׁ Ps 68:14* (based on Judg 5:16 ?).
מִשְׁפְּתַ֫יִם noun [masculine] dual probably fire-places or ash-heaps (namely, of the villages or encampments of the tribe) (> Ki Thes and most sheepfolds, see StuJu); — בֵּין הַמִּשְׁפְּתַ֫יִם Judg 5:16 (poem; compare GFM); so (תָּ֑יִם-) Gen 49:14 (poem in J).
