1. long after, late.
2. late in the day, at evening (opp. to πρωί); in late writers used almost as an indecl. noun (v. MM, xviii): Mk 11:11, 19 13:35.
3. C. gen., late in or on; and, in late writers also after (M, Pr., 72 f.), a sense which seems to be required in Mt 28:1.†
