And had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods: but he kept not that which the LORD commanded.
_BSB:
Although He had warned Solomon explicitly not to follow other gods, Solomon did not keep the LORD’s command.

וְ צִוָּ֤ה אֵלָי ו֙ עַל ־ הַ דָּבָ֣ר הַ זֶּ֔ה לְ בִ֨לְתִּי ־ לֶ֔כֶת אַחֲרֵ֖י אֱלֹהִ֣ים אֲחֵרִ֑ים וְ לֹ֣א שָׁמַ֔ר אֵ֥ת אֲשֶׁר ־ צִוָּ֖ה יְהוָֽה ׃ פ
