And he divided the three hundred men [into] three companies, and he put a trumpet in every man’s hand, with empty pitchers, and lamps within the pitchers.

And he divided the three hundred men into three companies and gave each man a ram’s horn in one hand and a large jar in the other, containing a torch.

וַ יַּ֛חַץ אֶת ־ שְׁלֹשׁ ־ מֵא֥וֹת הָ אִ֖ישׁ שְׁלֹשָׁ֣ה רָאשִׁ֑ים וַ יִּתֵּ֨ן שׁוֹפָר֤וֹת בְּ יַד ־ כֻּלָּ ם֙ וְ כַדִּ֣ים רֵקִ֔ים וְ לַפִּדִ֖ים בְּ ת֥וֹךְ הַ כַּדִּֽים ׃
