And the men answered her, Our life for yours, if ye utter not this our business. And it shall be, when the LORD hath given us the land, that we will deal kindly and truly with thee.
_BSB:
“Our lives for your lives!” the men agreed. “If you do not report our mission, we will show you kindness and faithfulness when the LORD gives us the land.”

וַ יֹּ֧אמְרוּ לָ֣הּ הָ אֲנָשִׁ֗ים נַפְשֵׁ֤נוּ תַחְתֵּי כֶם֙ לָ מ֔וּת אִ֚ם לֹ֣א תַגִּ֔ידוּ אֶת ־ דְּבָרֵ֖נוּ זֶ֑ה וְ הָיָ֗ה בְּ תֵת ־ יְהוָ֥ה לָ֙נוּ֙ אֶת ־ הָ אָ֔רֶץ וְ עָשִׂ֥ינוּ עִמָּ֖ךְ חֶ֥סֶד וֶ אֱמֶֽת ׃
