Deuteronomy 8:5⥂

Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, [so] the LORD thy God chasteneth thee.
_BSB:
So know in your heart that just as a man disciplines his son, so the LORD your God disciplines you.

וְיָדַעְתָּ֖ עִם־ לְבָבֶ֑ךָ כִּ֗י כַּאֲשֶׁ֨ר יְיַסֵּ֥ר אִישׁ֙ אֶת־ בְּנ֔וֹ יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ מְיַסְּרֶֽךָּ׃
