And in the seventh month, on the first [day] of the month, ye shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work: it is a day of blowing the trumpets unto you.

“On the first day of the seventh month, you are to hold a sacred assembly, and you must not do any regular work. This will be a day for you to sound the trumpets.

וּ בַ חֹ֨דֶשׁ הַ שְּׁבִיעִ֜י בְּ אֶחָ֣ד לַ חֹ֗דֶשׁ מִֽקְרָא ־ קֹ֙דֶשׁ֙ יִהְיֶ֣ה לָ כֶ֔ם כָּל ־ מְלֶ֥אכֶת עֲבֹדָ֖ה לֹ֣א תַעֲשׂ֑וּ י֥וֹם תְּרוּעָ֖ה יִהְיֶ֥ה לָ כֶֽם ׃
